(China Glass Network) In order to protect its domestic industry, the Egypt finance ministry approved the proposal to up-regulate some import tariff rate. Especially the reflective glass and stained glass, the import tariff will adjust from 10 percent to 20 percent. The clear glass will reach 20 percent.
The Egypt only produce flat glass, so in order to meet the demand of domestic needs, the reflective glass and stained glass import tariff is still low than the flat glass. The annual production of Egypt is more than 0.6 million tons. Apart the domestic consumption, it also can export 0.3 million tons annually.
