Scana Industrier ASA announces Scana Steel Bjorneborg has received new order from Rolls-Royce Thursday, Jun 20, 2013
Scana Industrier ASA has through its subsidiary Scana Steel Björneborg, received an additional order from Rolls-Royce, for delivery of complete propeller and intermediate shafts during 2013-2014. The total value of the contract is 20 MSEK.
Scana Steel Björneborg has a long history as a supplier to Rolls-Royce, who requires consistently high quality propeller and intermediate shafts for their propulsion systems. During the latest 12 months Scana Steel Björneborg has received several large orders from the customer and the order reserve within Scana Steel Björneborgs marine area has increased considerable.
Scanas strategy is to produce complete products for our customers. Rolls-Royce is one of the customers where we have expanded the scope considerably in recent years and we are now producing complete, complex shafts used in their deliveries to the marine market. They are a very important customer for Scana and increasing volumes is very much appreciated, CEO in Scana Industrier ASA, Rolf Roverud says.
